Enrichment Curriculum

The Power of Play: Through Enrichment Programs

In addition to our daily program, we offer enrichment activities, on a first come first served basis for children enrolled in SPELC for Emerald and Pre-Kindergarten students.

For our Pre-K students, we are proud to provide an Extended Day Program that specifically focuses on the academic skills necessary to further prepare our students for kindergarten.

For both Emerald and Pre-K Students we offer a fabulous Art Class that allows students to explore, create and have fun.

Weekly sessions begin with lunch (brought from home) while the teacher shares a big book/group activity introducing that week’s focus. Children will work in small groups and receive one-on-one attention from the teachers to develop the desired goal.

Sessions will end by introducing that week’s “home project”, to be completed and returned the following Monday. This project will reinforce the skills and concepts covered. This will require parent commitment to oversee and assist the child in completing these weekly projects.
