21st ANNUAL CHILDREN’S CONSIGNMENT SALE

The ELC’s biggest fundraiser is held in the spring of each year. The Consignment Sale is a sale of clean, top quality, new and used children’s clothing, sizes 0-14 both girls and boys. We also sell baby equipment and furniture, toys, books, DVD’s, bikes, and outdoor equipment/toys. There is a 70%-30% split, with the seller receiving 70%. Sellers receive a tax donation receipt with their check for the 30% donated to SPELC.  SPELC is a non-profit 501-3(c) corporation. The proceeds generated from the Sale (30%) go directly back to the preschool. The funds are used to purchase additional classroom resources, a scholarship fund for our families, staff continuing education, building improvements and several children’s programs.

In conjunction with our Consignment Sale we hold a Bake Sale. Our bake sale is open to the public the same hours as our Consignment Sale and includes baked goods, fruit, sodas, water, hot dogs, chicken salad sandwiches and sloppy joes. This way we can feed our shoppers and many volunteers that work our sale with either a meal or a quick snack during their time here.

Baked goods are donated by our ELC families. Area King Soopers, Safeway and Walmart stores donate gift cards that are used to purchase, soda, croissants, and other items needed for the bake sale. Our best-selling items are Scotcheroos, homemade cookies, and confections. Kids especially love brightly decorated cupcakes and frosted treats.

Thursday, April 26, 2012 -	9:30 am – 7:00 pm
Friday, April 27, 2012  -	9:30 am – 2:00 pm
Saturday, April 28, 2012  -	8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Volunteer and Shop Early:

Volunteer 3 or more hours at our sale and you can shop before the general public.  Our Volunteer Pre-Sales are on Wednesday, April 25.  If you volunteer 3 -7 hours you can shop from 7-9pm. If you volunteer 8-11 hours you can shop from 5-9pm.  Volunteer 12-14 hours you can shop even earlier from 4-9pm.  Volunteers who work 15 hours or more can shop from 9:30am on. Charities:

As part of our outreach ministry program, we invite select charities to come to the preschool for our donation event on the final day of our Annual Consignment Sale. All white ticketed items, clothes, baby equipment, toys, books and videos that did not sell at our Consignment Sale are donated to charities. The charities are able to take what they need for use within their organization.

Pick-up is Saturday, April 28 at 3:00pm (By Invitation Only)
