The Power of Play: Helping the Children
Fundraisers allow SPELC to continually upgrade the quality of early childhood education that is offered. We have a few ongoing fundraisers, Our Annual Children’s Consignment Sale, King Soopers Gift Cards and Scholastic Books.
ANNUAL CHILDREN’S CONSIGNMENT SALE
Our biggest fundraiser is the Annual Children’s Consignment Sale held in the Spring of each year. The Consignment Sale is a sale of clean, top quality, new and used children’s clothing, sizes 0-14 both girls and boys. There is a 70%-30% split, with the seller receiving 70%. SPELC, which is nonprofit, receives 30%. Sellers receive a tax donation receipt with their check for the 30%. You set the price of the item. We also sell baby equipment/furniture, books, toys and videos.

RUSSIAN SHOE DONATIONS
In connection with our Annual Consignment Sale we collect shoes for Beautiful Heart Charity. This charity gives gently used shoes to a Russian Orphanage that desperately needs shoes for its children.

KING SOOPERS RELOADABLE GIFT CARDS
We have reloadable gift cards available for purchase in the ELC Office. You reload your card at the customer service desk, using your credit card or other form of payment, for any amount you want. Each time you reload your card, SPELC receives 5% of that amount from King Soopers. This is an ongoing fundraiser.
It is that easy! King Soopers reloadable gift cards are an incredible way for SPELC to raise funds towards our preschool playground renovation.

SCHOLASTIC BOOKS
Scholastic Books offer a lot of great literature at discount prices, usually much less than the bookstore or even Wal-Mart. You fill out your order and turn it into the office or place it online and we will distribute the books to you when they come in.
Our school earns “points” for your orders and with these points we purchase things for the school and your child’s classroom. In the past we have earned enough points for a new computer in the office, a new VCR/DVD player and TONS of books and various supplies for our classrooms. We’ve enjoyed a great return from our parents investment in reading and we believe our students have too! Reading with your children now is one of the best things you can do to promote achievement in school!
